Eight19 Picks a Partner to Expand Pay-As-You-Go Solar

Eight19 announced the launch of Azuri Technologies Ltd. to develop its Indigo ‘pay-as-you-go’ solar technology for off-grid markets. Eight19 will develop its printed plastic solar technology with Azuri focusing on expanding the Indigo product and market research.

 

The solar creator’s board made the decision to outsource the product to Azuri in order to facilitate its rapid expansion although Simon Bransfield-Garth will remain CEO of both companies. .  Earlier this year, Eight19 began organic solar trials in Africa and it is envisaged that real-world data will accelerate and facilitate the product development.
