AFD to Fund SMEs in Tanzania
Wednesday, March 1, 2017  Printer Friendly Email this article

Tanzanian small and medium-sized (SMEs) will see a credit line of $12 million from the French Development Agency (AFD). The AFD is providing the funding for projects that involve renewable energies and energy efficiency.

This partnership with the Confederation of Industries of Tanzania (CTI) is part of the agency's Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Energy Finance (Sunref) program.

The funds will be channeled through banks in the country and those banks will aid AFD in identifying projects eligible for the program.
