Zagtouli PV Plant at 90%

  Burkina Faso’s Ministry of Energy announced that the rate of achievement of its PV plant at Zagtouli has reached 90%, and that the installations will come into service "very soon.”

 Located in Zagtouli, on the outskirts of Ouagadougou, the facility will comprise 129,600 panels of 260 Wp and will generate 33.7 MW to meet 10% of the current demand of the national distribution network. It will also be one of the largest solar power plants in sub-Saharan Africa.

 Its total cost is $78 million, and its main investors are the European Investment Bank, the French Development Agency and the EU.
