Zindzi Mandela, the daughter of the late South African president Nelson Mandela, has died, a spokesman of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) announced on Monday.
Zindzi died in a Johannesburg hospital at aged 59. The cause of death has not yet been provided.
“This is untimely. She still had a role to play in the transformation of our own society and a bigger role to play even in the African National Congress,” said ANC spokesman Pule Mabe.
