Houston Firm Wins Contract for ‘Tesla of the Oceans’ Project

Assurance Integrity Management System LLC (AIMS) of Houston, Texas has won a contract which will see it involved in the building of two Electric Powered Ocean Liners.  These unique vessels will be following the current design standards for electric vessels currently operating successfully in Norway and will accommodate 300 passengers in 150 first class suites.

Northern Xplorer ASA has appointed AIMS as their US Representative, Shipyard Project Managers and Investment Advisors for this project. The new electric vessels will receive Maritime Administrative financing and are compliant with Jones Act requirements to allow their operation in the Hawaiian Islands and the US Caribbean region, based in Miami.

Each ship will have full electric propulsion with fuel generators as back up, along with battery storage and hydrogen fuel cells.

Rolf Sandvik, CEO of NX along with Steve Hill, CEO of AIMS LLC are excited and will be promoting this vessel concept as the future “Tesla of the Oceans.”
