Global Biofuels Center Director to address the World Biofuels Market Congress

Maelle Soares Pinto, Director, Biofuels Europe, Global Biofuels Center (GBC) will be addressing the World Biofuels Markets Congress on March 17, 2010 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The World Biofuels Markets Congress is Europe’s largest biofuels event with 1,500 attendees including 62 CEO’s and 50+ Vice Presidents addressing a global audience from 70+ countries – it is the premium, global biofuels networking event. This year the biofuels industry is showing renewed confidence in the future of the sector, with a 92% increase in bookings over 2009 and the exhibition hall nearing capacity. Soares Pinto will be speaking on “Global Market for Biofuels: Challenges and Opportunities” and using the Global Biofuels Center’s capabilities to give a picture of the market around the world. “Biofuels are an undisputed part of the downstream global fuel supply and their major challenge currently is sustainability, influencing the interaction between the market players through feedstock and manufacturing processes selection as well as investments into advanced biofuels” says Soares-Pinto. Launched in December 2004, as a service of Hart Energy Consulting, GBC covers exclusively for its members all aspects of the global biofuels market: production and consumption; production capacity and facility developments; technology developments, including second-generation biofuels; fiscal policy, incentives; and more. A recent study by GBC shows that global use of biofuels is expected to more than double from 2009 to 2015. More information is available at www.globalbiofuelscenter.com.
