The juwi group of Wörrstadt, Germany will expand operations to South Africa in order to continue developing renewable energy projects. The new office, located in Stellenbosch, will primarily focus on wind energy with plans to construct plants with a total output of 200 MW to 300 MW within the next nine years.
“South Africa is at the beginning of a great development as the country offers great potential for renewable energies. We want to establish juwi as a project developer with comprehensive services, who supervises projects throughout the entire development process – from acquisition to planning, financing, construction, operation and management,” said Marie-Luise Pörtner, managing director of juwi Wind GmbH.
