The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) announced that it would delay the renewable energy feed-in tariff (Refit) review. "Nersa is currently analyzing and consolidating all information received from stakeholders," said the regulator.
At the end of March, Nersa released a review paper that proposed slashing renewable energy incentives by 7% to 40%. Around 200 written comments were received with over 40 presentations given during public hearings held throughout May. Nersa hopes to release its findings in mid-June.
