The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is looking to produce renewable energy from rubber trees, according to the project director Daniel Adam.
A similar project is underway in Liberia where Buchanan Renewables uses woodchips from old rubber trees to generate electricity, selling the power supply to the local utility. The plant can also be used for biomass power projects.
