Alert: Environmental Documentary Screening in Cairo

For those located in Cairo, visiting, or in the region and have the opportunity, the second film screening this season of the “Environmental Revolution” be held on May 7.

 

“Solar Energy-Saved by the Sun” will be presented at Cairo University’s Library and Information Center at the Faculty of Agriculture at 3 pm. Following the screening will be a panel discussion that includes Ahmed Zahran from TriOcean, Desertec’s Mohamed El Hamamsy, and Amr Abd El Mohsin from Lotus Co.

 

The "Revolutionary Environment” documentary series is a collaboration between the Wadi Environmental Science Center and the Faculty of Agriculture – Cairo University, to raise awareness about environmental issues that face Egypt, and are necessary precursors in order to take an active role in the rebuilding of a new more sustainable country.

 

Admission is free, but a picture ID is required. The documentary series leads up to the World Environment Day 2011 Celebration in Al Azhar Park on June 4.
