Chocolatier Provides 10,000 Solar Lanterns in Ghana

The Cadbury Cocoa Partnership, established in 2008, has provided 10,000 household solar lanterns for Ghanaian cocoa farmers spanning over 160 communities.

The initiative will also supply and install solar panels in 22 schools in rural communities, help two clinics obtain solar refrigerators for vaccination storage, and also power three food processing units to help women increase farm produce. This is all part of the partnership’s Solar Energy Project that aims to increase solar energy projects by 2018.

Alternative Energy Africa is trying to reduce its own carbon footprint in 2011. Ask about our electronic subscriptions and online marketing campaigns specially tailored for individual companies.
