UK firm Camco International Ltd. will begin development for two clean energy projects in Tanzania and Uganda with contracts worth $1.8 million, helping raise its share price by 5.41%. The first EU-awarded contract will help deploy $1 million solar PV clusters in Tanzania to offset small-scale solar systems in 15,000 homes in the Lake Victoria area over the next three years.
The company has been developing projects in Africa over the past 20 years. And to continue its efforts, Camco will provide technical assistance to the Belgian Development Agency under the second contract to develop clean energy projects worth $800,000 in Uganda.
