Senegal Adopts Renewable Energy Decree

Senegal adopted a renewable energy decree on December 21 that outlines the conditions of purchase and compensation of excess electricity produced from renewable energy sources.

Chapin International LLC executive director Eric McCartney told Alternative Energy Africa that the decree had already been signed by the president and was expected to be signed by the prime minister on December 22. “We are hoping to have an actual copy of the decree by early next week,” he added.
