Mozambique’s Ministry of Energy’s National Directorate of New and Renewable Energy has issued a call for interested parties to pre-qualify for a competitive development of a wind power facility. Under a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT), the 30-MW plant will be up for grabs for interested applicants that have prior experience in similar projects.
The selected company will be chosen through a Request for Proposals (RFP) process to enter into negotiations. Applicants will be evaluated on their demonstrated capacity to perform all operations necessary and required to finance, design, fabricate, deliver, erect test, commission, operate, and maintain. This will include the provision of all plant, labor, technical, and professional services during the start-up testing and operation.
The bid process will be conducted in two phases with proposals accepted by April 27 with the pre-qualified applicants expected to be chosen in September. For more information, please visit: www.aipproject.com/Mozambique-wind
