Cameroon has signed an agreement with Joule Africa for a $1-billion hydropower project that will have a capacity of 450 MW. The Kpep project is expected to boost the country’s power supply by 40%, and is located on the Katsina-Ala River near the Nigerian border.
Lahmeyer International will help Joule Africa and local firm Bethel Industrievertretung design the plant.
