Enel Targets Two African Countries for Renewable Energy

Italy’s Enel Green Power is looking into hitting up Morocco and South Africa’s renewable energy market, according to Bloomberg. The company will spend $8 billion through 2016 to add 4.5 GW of installed capacity for its global campaign.

For South Africa, Enel will add 140 MW of solar power while completing 100 MW of wind energy in Morocco. The company is waiting for approval on its bid to take part in a solar tender in South Africa and is also looking at a Moroccan plan to harness 2 GW of solar power.
