A delegation from the European Investment Bank (EIB) is currently on a two-day visit to Kenya to announce new funding mechanisms for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and micro-finance. The Bank is currently supporting large-scale investment in the renewable energy sector, and with its funding initiatives, will continue to propel the country’s green industry.
While the EIB did not detail its exact plan, it had previously signed a €20-million finance agreement with ABC Bank and Consolidated Bank for long-term lending to help local businesses expand or invest in new projects.
