Senergy Relocation Presents Prime Growth Opportunity

Release

Global leading energy services company Senergy has moved into larger premises in Bath to meet growing demand for its geo-engineering and geographic information system (GIS) capabilities.

Senergy, which provides fully-integrated project and asset development services across the energy industry, has moved its existing team of 12 staff based in Bath into larger facilities with the aim of tapping into the area’s growing renewable sector.

The move underpins Senergy’s rapidly-evolving global expansion. The company, which was recently ranked in the Sunday Times 2012 HSBC International Track 200 league table as well as that of its 2011 Virgin Fast Track 100 of Britain’s fastest-growing privately owned companies, also unveiled new offices in Aberdeen and Dubai earlier this year.

Geo-engineering and GIS are key parts of the integrated alternative energy solutions provided by the company which has rapidly emerged as a global leader in diversified energy services through organic growth and a series of acquisitions.

Giles Thompson, Director at Senergy’s Bath office, said: “The success of our work and continued growth of our operation in Bath has prompted us to expand into new offices in this prime central location. We plan to recruit three more employees over the next 12 months and this move gives us the opportunity to achieve this whilst planning for further future growth.”

The new premises are located at the heart of the city’s business district on Gay Street and have undergone an £80,000 overhaul by HPH Commercial Property to feature the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency possible for a Grade I listed building. The historic Georgian building’s refurbishment is the first ever to achieve an excellent rating from BREEAM – the world’s leading design and assessment method for sustainable buildings.

Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property, Lindsay Holdoway, added, “We’re delighted to welcome Senergy to 27 Gay Street. We’re really proud of the standard of the refurbishment at what is now one of the highest quality and efficient period office buildings in the city if not the country, and we wish Senergy many successful years in their new home.”

Senergy, which was established in 2005, employs more than 550 people worldwide across its Aberdeen headquarters and through a network of global offices in the UK, Norway, the Middle East, Australia, South East Asia and the Americas.

The company provides geosciences, reservoir engineering, geohazard assessment, marine site surveys, rig positioning, wells engineering and operations, production optimisation, reserve and asset evaluation, facilities engineering and project management. Senergy also develops and supports innovative software technologies including Interactive Petrophysics and Oilfield Data Manager.

In addition, Senergy offers specialist training services with an extensive training programme covering courses in petrophysics, core analysis, geomechanics (sand production and wellbore stability), reservoir seismic characterisation and geology. The training courses are delivered by Senergy specialists, many of whom are also SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) Distinguished Lecturers.
