Germany’s juwi Group and Japan’s Shizen Energy Inc. have combined forces to create a new JV, juwi Shizen Energy, headquartered in Tokyo.
The new JV will support the Japanese in their effort to accelerate the expansion of renewable energies in their country. Their first project – a free-field PV system on Kyushu island – was already connected to the grid mid-December. Furthermore, the company has a project pipeline of 120 MW in 2013 and is targeting to install 1 GW by 2017.
