New Jatropha Company Moves into West Africa

Jatropha developer JOil Pte. Ltd. signed a MoU with West Africa alternative energy grower and jatropha processor Agritech Faso SA. The companies will conduct field trials on more than 600,000 acres of jatropha plantations mixed with food crops in Burkina Faso, Togo, and Benin.

Additionally, JOil and Agritech Faso will plan a biofuel refinery plant in Burkina Faso. The footprint is expected to be around 618,000 acres when in full operation with all planting materials, technical consultation, and subsequent development carried out by JOil.
