General Electric Corp. (GE) and the Economic Community Of West African States (Ecowas) will partner to explore options of boosting regional trade via energy and infrastructure projects.
Ecowas officials and a GE delegation met in Abuja with the parties agreeing that the partnership should be through Ecowas’ Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency-supported projects. The meeting also discussed potential areas of engagement through trade expansion and integration leveraging on the commission’s investment policy and code, soon to be finalized.
