Schneider Electric as well as Phillips has helped Nigeria with a 3 kWh solar energy system to help with the country’s chronic power outages.
Nigeria’s Energy Minister Chinedu Nebo said that the renewable energy power system could power over 1,050 homes in Durumi, just outside of the capital Abuja. "This is part of President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformation agenda for the sector, which is aimed at taking light to every part of Nigeria, including the remotest villages," Nebo said.
