German and French researchers teamed up to present the latest in solar energy technology that would reduce operating costs. Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, Soitec, CEA-Leti, and the Helmholtz Center Berlin collaborated for over three years to help reduce the costs of solar electricity from the previous record set by the group in May which saw solar technology reduced by 43.6%.
Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems will be present at WFES 2014 as an exhibitor in the German pavilion and provide additional insight on the collected expertise that made it possible to produce the improved materials, structures, and procedures responsible for the much awaited falling cost of solar power.
