China Pledges $16.5 Million to Djibouti

Djibouti and China signed an economic and trade cooperation deal on January 15 with China pledging up to $16.5 million in development projects in the African country.

 

While the details of the financial backing revolve mostly around social projects like schools, in mid-2013 China was said to be on the prowl for Djiboutian geothermal.
