Local SA Partner Vows to be PV Supplier for the Region

Over one year ago, Energy Cybernetics formed a JV with a German company called SUNCybernetics vowing to be a prime renewable energy company in South Africa. And now, the JV has completed 15 solar PV projects in the country with a total installed capacity of 480 kWh. These projects include the largest rooftop solar plant in Potchefstroom at The Roots, with some guest houses and residences, and the latest is a large 353 kWh installation at voestalpine VAE SA Isando site.

Gys Niesing, SUNCybernetics General Manager, said: “When choosing your solar PV partner the product quality, installation experience and after sales service are critical for your long term investment.”

With the backing of its German counterpart SUNfarming, together with North West University, a solar training school has been established. Over the past 17 months, the school has educated more than 150 electricians, project developers, and engineers.
