Natural Power purchased a new fleet of vehicles to help drive their ambition to be carbon neutral by 2016. The organization purchased the Volvo V40, acquiring four vehicles from the Strathmore dealership.
The car company’s sales manager Graeme McGregor said: “We are delighted to be supplying Natural Power with a range of Volvo V40s for their fleet needs. The vehicles make for an excellent fit thanks to the credentials of Volvo’s new Drive-E powertrains – offering a world-class blend of driveability and low CO2 emissions.”
The company will base two vehicles at its global UK headquarters in Galloway and the further two at its central Scotland office in Stirling. The vehicles’ purchase is among a number of efforts being made by Natural Power to reduce its emissions and meet its carbon neutrality targets by 2016. Natural Power director Neil Douglas added: “As a consultancy working in renewables, Natural Power has an on-going commitment towards carbon neutrality. We are working on a number of initiatives to further reduce our carbon footprint. The purchase of these vehicles marks a significant milestone on our journey to achieving that ambition.”
