The state power utility in Morocco, Office National de l’Electricité (ONE), was awarded a $300-million loan from China’s ExIm Bank to finance a 318 MW coal-fired plant in Jerada.
The approval could be the result of Chinese company Sepco being awarded a $348-million tender to build a second power plant in the city, which is located in the same city near the unstable Algerian border.
