Kenya Power & Lighting Ltd. will sign two purchase agreements for 76 MW of geothermal energy and hydropower. The agreements are expected to be signed on August 12.
70 MW will come from Akiira Geothermal Ltd., a project developer, and Marine Power Generation Ltd., its development partner. The other 6 MW will be purchased from Kleen Energy, a local hydropower producer.
