Alternative Energy Africa will participate at the upcoming Powering Africa Summit being held in Washington D.C January 27-29. The Powering Africa Summit (PAS 2016) is a platform to showcase power, trade and infrastructure investment opportunities across the African continent, engaging decision makers from the American and African public and private sectors to explore how project bankability can be increased.
AEA publisher Dianne Sutherland says “this event is a must attend” for those looking to capitalize on US President Barack Obama’s Power Africa initiative. Ms. Sutherland will make the trip to Washington D.C. to network with both the African delegations and interested US investors in order to help inform our readership of the upcoming opportunities falling under the umbrella of the Power Africa initiative.
The Power Africa initiative has helped map the way for project investment, giving a platform to global investment funds and showcasing the role they can play in driving forward the development of Africa’s power sector. The event’s organizer, EnergyNet, will build on this progress during the PAS 2016 where they plan to improve upon the already successful PAS 2015 held last year.
Ms Sutherland looks forward to meeting with all interested parties during her time there. Should you like to schedule an appointment with her in advance, please contact dsutherland@AE-Africa.com.
