RENEXPO Discusses Renewable Energy in Romania

Highlights at the premiere of RENEXPO® South-East Europe 2008

 

The topic of renewable energy has become very important in Romania and not only as a result of the EU ordinance. The RENEXPO® South-East Europe 2008 from 19. -21.11.2008 at the Palace Hall in Bucharest offers the opportunity to learn early about renewable energy and environmentally friendly energy and power and heat generation.

 

In line with expectations, exhibitors on a national as well as an international level are expressing great interest. The proportion of international exhibitors from 8 European countries lies at 46%. And the interest continues to grow; further exhibitors are registering for the final spaces daily.

 

During the three days of the trade fair, 48 exhibitors from all over Europe will present the fair goers with many new innovations and all kinds of worthwhile information about topics such as heating, power generation, and energy-efficient construction and renovation.

 

For instance, the company TEGOLA ROMANIA SRL will present photovoltaic tiles that can be embedded into different roof coverings. These tiles ensure high energy utilization, even if they are placed on a façades or flat roofs. Furthermore, they are not sensitive to frost; they are self-cleaning, and non-reflective.     

 

In the area of wind energy, SME Consult Ltd. is planning a wind mast model and different sensors that are attached to a “mini-tower.”  

 

AGIMUS GmbH, which has taken over the leadership for a European research project in renewable energy and whose practical goal is to do environmental research in regards to the cogeneration utilization from biogas in Romania, will also present itself at the fair.  

 

Leading manufacturers and market leaders worldwide such as GE Energy are among the exhibitors, also including leading manufactures of gas motors, Gen-Sets in container construction as well as block heat and power plants for energy supply.  

 

As a further highlight, high-ranking international conferences will take place parallel to the trade fair with reputable speakers. For example, at the “1st International Conference – Bioenergy in Romania“ Dr. Heinz Kopetz, Preside of AEBIOM (European Biomass Association), Josef Plank, President of the Austrian Biomass Association, Dietmar Hagauer from the Austrian Energy Agency, Mihai Brasoveanu from the Danish Energy Agency Danish Carbon and Bagi Zoltan from the Hungarian Biogas Association will speak in addition to others.  

On the Romanian side, Corneliu Radulescu, Vice President of ARCE – Romanian Agency for Energy Conservation, Benone Velcescu, Counselor Superior of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Nicolae Sdrula, Vice President of the Romanian Biofuel Association, and many more will be present.

 

At the celebratory opening ceremony, high-ranking Romanian representatives will also be in attendance. Tudor Constantinescu, for example, President of the Romanian Agency for Energy Conservation and Iulian Iancu, President of the Romanian National Committee, World Energy Council have announced their presence.
