DNV Launches New Tech for CO2 Capture

DNV, a global provider of risk management services, has launched a new qualification procedure for carbon capture technology. Although the sector is relatively new and has unproven elements, processes, and systems, the company’s methodology for technology qualification has been applied to the most complex innovations.

The qualification procedure explains in detail how to identify, assess, and manage risks by providing shareholders with proper tools that aim to show functionality and broad industry cooperation.

“By adhering to DNV’s qualification standard, a company can demonstrate to a project’s stakeholders that the technology will function within specific limits and with an acceptable level of confidence,” said DNV’s project manager Tore Myhrvold.
