Solar Impulse 2, or Si2, the solar-powered airplane making a historic trip around the world, landed in Phoenix, Arizona on May 2. The plane touched down at the Phoenix Goodyear Airport. The plane, which uses no fuel and only energy from the sun, will be made available for public viewings while at the airport. Originally the plane was not to be available for public visits because the team was tentatively planning to depart on May 4 to take advantage of weather conditions; however, the plane will now be in Phoenix until May 9.
