The “Terminator’s” Foundation to Finance W2E in Cote d’Ivoire
Actor and former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger’s foundation, R20, will finance a project to produce electricity from household waste in the Cote d’Ivoire city of Yamoussoukro, according to the city’s Governor Augustin Thiam.
Thiam said the initiative, of which the city of Yamoussoukro will see the pilot project, brings a "sustainable solution to the problems of garbage dumps" for the cities of Côte d’Ivoire.
Beyond energy intake, this project is also a benefit for public health through environmental sanitation.
