Nigeria’s Transmission Network to Receive World Bank Support

Nigeria will receive funds from the World Bank to improve its power transmission network. The global lending institution recently approved a $486 million credit facility for the transmission grid upgrade.

"The investment in Nigeria’s power transmission project will increase the network’s capacity for energy transfer, making distribution companies able to supply their customers with all the available energy,” the financial institution said.

The government recently announced the construction of several transmission lines to allow the distribution of this surplus energy.
