According to local reporting, Ergon Solair Africa Limited, a US-Kenyan solar developer operating in Africa, affiliate of Ergon Solair PBC (USA), announced that its Kenya solar project, Kisumu Solar One 40 MW has received approval from the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority EPRA of Kenya for commissioning of the full 40-MWAC in Dec 2023 with the power purchase agreement (PPA) to be negotiated on a Take or Pay basis.
The Project was granted in 2019 with a feed-in-tariff of 7.5 cents per kWh.
