Absa Bank Ghana will be providing a $24 million finance package for the development and construction of a 100-MW solar plant in Ghana. This is the Bank’s first green loan.
In a social media post, the bank stated “We are taking the lead in empowering a sustainable future and strengthening Ghana’s energy capacity.”
The project is being developed for Bui Power Authority (BPA) with local renewable energy specialist firm Meinergy taking the lead on construction.
