Three institutions, Welsh Assembly, Bangor University, and UNIDO, have contributed Sh216 million to train over 40 entrepreneurs from West and East Africa in renewable energy and sustainable development in a four-week course scheduled during August/September.
Targeting young industrialists, this fund will provide a long-term solution for African nations as locals get more involved in learning modern production technologies using alternative and renewable energy. “Participants will also have a chance to exchange information, share experience and start a network of companies to promote sustainable development,” explained Dr. Philip Hollington from the College of Natural Sciences of Bangor University.
