With news of Gaza flaring again and some companies boycotting Israel, Alstom is not one of them as it has committed to build a CSP plant.
Under the terms of its €450 million contract, Alstom will be responsible for the EPC of the solar power station. It will also provide operations and maintenance for 25 years. The technology will be sourced from BrightSource. The Ashalim plant will produce 121 MW and is scheduled to come online in early-2017.
