Alternative Energy Reader Poll Results

Results from the website reader polls posted on Alternative Energy Africa and its sister publication, Petroleum Africa, are in. On www.ae-africa.com readers were asked to voice their opinion on the future of alternative energy in Africa. We asked “What do you believe is the 10-year outlook for Africa‘s alternative energy sector?” There was no real clear winner to this question. However, it was clear that readers believe that alternative energy will play a role in the future of Africa. Of those readers who participated in the poll 38.1% of the respondees said that biofuels have a “high potential” and 28.57% said they had “some potential.” Only 11% of readers thought the alternative energy industry had no chance on the continent.

On www.petroleumafrica.com we asked our readers Should there be a recount of Kenya‘s presidential election results? The majority of our readers, 72.41%, thought that the election results were something to call into question and that there should be a recount. Only 17.24% disagreed with the idea of a recount. We all know now that a recount was not ordered, however, an independent commission of inquiry has been called to investigate the election results and a power sharing agreement has been reached between the ruling and opposition parties.
