Another Irish Firm Heads to Africa

Ireland’s ESB International consultancy won a contract to help design and implement a centralized customer contact center for Tanzania Electric Supply Co. Ltd. (Tanesco). The nearly $1 million contract will last for 18 months and is funded by the World Bank’s TEPAD program.

The power utility’s Deputy Managing Director of Distribution and Customer Service Sophia Mgonja said: “The broad objectives of this project are to improve the quality and standards of service in order to enhance Tanesco’s customer relations and improve its revenue collection.”
