In the growing list of US solar companies that are going under, Abound Solar Inc. filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy on July 2. The Colorado-based firm has a $70-million debt guarantee by the US government and has more than $100 million in debt and assets.
Abound won a repayment guarantee from the government for as much as $400 million in loans, which it used to borrow $70 million, according to the US Energy Department.
