Botswana Next up for Concentrated Solar Energy Plant

A feasibility study is underway to examine the viability of a 200-MW concentrating solar thermal power plant in Botswana.

The project will be managed by the Botswana Power Corp. (BPC) with funding from the World Bank and African Development Bank over a 12-month period. The National Renewable Energy Center (Cener) will help select the most viable technology, determine the size and configuration of the plant, and decide the best location for the plant.
