Burkina Faso to Assess Solar Energy

Ghana’s Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), in collaboration with the International Institute for Water Environmental Engineering (2iE), will install two weather stations to collect primary data for a solar energy resource assessment in Burkina Faso.

KNUST and 2iE also plan to install grid-connected solar PV systems. Provost of the College of Engineering of KNUST Prof. Samuel I.K. Ampadu said the school plans to partner with sister institutions to develop renewable energy programs throughout Africa.
