Canada Officially Opens its 2nd Largest Wind Facility

Canada’s largest and most diversified renewable energy company, Canadian Hydro Developers, Inc., will officially open the Wolfe Island EcoPower(R) Centre, on Wolfe Island, Ontario, located near Kingston. The 197.8 MW wind installation is the second largest of its kind in Canada and has been in commercial operations since June 26, 2009. Attendees will include Ontario Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure George Smitherman, Ontario Minister of Environment and MPP for Kingston and the Islands John Gerretsen, and Mayor of the Township of Frontenac Islands Jim Vanden Hoek.
