The local government in South Africa’s Limpopo province is holding talks with Chinese firm Chili Capital Management Corp. to explore ways of enhancing the area’s energy mix.
Tebatso Mabitsela, the spokesman for Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale, said: "The Chinese company deals with, among others, large renewable energy power plant development services. The meeting explored possible ways [to] ensure, among others, optimal utilization of energy resources as espoused by the Limpopo Employment Growth and Development Plan (LEGDP)."
Mabitsela added that the meeting had involved key role-players from the provincial government, national power utility Eskom, and Chili Capital Management Corp.
