Corrugated pipes for heat exchangers

- The pipes are characterised by spiral corrugation. This results in better heat transfer compared with pipes with parallel corrugation, makes cleaning easier and also keeps pressure losses to a minimum. FPT Systems has also developed a new manufacturing process that is still unique on the market. This allows the depth of corrugation to be varied according to customer requirements and individual applications so that the surface area can be increased by more than 100 percent compared with a smooth pipe. The benefits of this special spiral corrugation include minimum fouling, reduced maintenance and high efficiency. In addition, the stagnation volume in the pipes is also reduced.
