German Bank Lends €800 Million for Indian RE

KfW, a German government-owned development bank, announced that it will lend €800 over the next year to finance various renewable energy projects in India.

Previously, the Bank has financed Indian firms like its state-owned power generating companies North Eastern Electric Power Corp. and NTPC for hydropower and solar-based projects. KfW also signed a loan agreement of around €52 million with National Housing Bank to promote energy efficiency projects in residential areas.
