PNE Wind, a German renewable energy firm, will form a JV with South African company WKN Windcurrent to vie for the winning bid to construct two wind farms in South Africa.WKN has developed more than 90 wind farms and PV projects globally and PNE acquired 82.75% of WKN’s shares in July.
The plants could produce 130 MW of energy in Port Elizabeth with the winning bid announced in January, according to PNE chairman Martin Billhardt in an interview with Business Day.
