The launch for the West African Clean Energy and Environment Exhibition and Conference (WACEE 2012) was held on February 21 in Accra, Ghana asking for stakeholders to explore efficient and renewable energy technologies within the region.
Ghana’s Minister of Environment Sherry Ayittey said renewable energy could help secure energy supply for the increased demand as well as combat the negative impact of carbon emissions. The three day exhibition will be held from November 6-8 featuring local and international exhibitors from the oil, gas, hydropower, and other renewable energy sectors.
The conference will revolve around the following themes: Conventional Energies in West Africa, Oil, Gas and Hydropower; Renewable Energies in West Africa, Wind, Gas and Biomass; and Recycling and Water Treatment.
