Holcim El-Djazaïr, a leader in innovative and sustainable construction solutions, and SLB, announced the signing of an agreement for a collaboration framework to explore carbon capture and storage [CCS] opportunities in Algeria.
This strategic agreement aims to explore innovative solutions to reduce CO2 emissions, thereby supporting Algeria’s commitments to greenhouse gas reduction.
“We are delighted to collaborate with SLB to explore the opportunities offered by CCS technologies in Algeria. This agreement reflects our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and supporting Algeria’s decarbonization goals,” said Martin Kriegner, a member of Holcim’s Executive Committee in charge of the AMEA region.
“This collaborative framework illustrates the power of partnership between industry leaders to drive innovation and sustainable development. By combining SLB’s technological expertise with Holcim El-Djazaïr’s commitment to sustainable construction, we will establish the foundations of best practices for industrial operations and environmental management. Together, we are paving the way towards a greener and more sustainable future, where circular economy principles are at the heart of industrial development,” said Redha Kelkouli, General Manager of SLB North Africa.
